Regional Lavender Law 2009 a groundbreaking success
According to its planners at the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association, the Regional Lavender Law 2009 conference, which took place on Saturday, January 31 at William Mitchell College of Law, was a strong and successful event. Over 75 lawyers, law students, and community members attended a day of plenary and break-out sessions providing updates on legal and legislative issues in Minnesota and nationally. OutFront
One of the most anticipated sessions was the first of the day, featuring Eric Magnuson, Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court. Chief Justice Magnuson spoke in fairly stark terms about the fiscal challenges Minnesota’s judicial system is facing, and about his hopes for addressing these pressing concerns in the Legislature.
