Successful vote for the ELCA Social Statement on Human Sexuality

OutFront Minnesota celebrates the successful vote for the ELCA Social Statement on Human Sexuality, which passed by a two-thirds margin on Wednesday during the ELCA Assembly at the Minneapolis Convention Center. "The social statement supports our unity without requiring uniformity. There is still much work to do, but the door to full inclusion of LGBT members and their families is now most definitely open", said Emily Eastwood, Executive Director, Lutherans Concerned/North America. OutFront Minnesota congratulates Goodsoil, its collaborative partners - Lutherans Concerned/North America, The Network for Full Inclusion, and Wingspan Ministry of St. Paul-Reformation Church - and all of the thousands of Lutherans who worked to achieve this victory for inclusion.
