How do I include OutFront Minnesota in my will or estate plan?
Planned gifts can currently be made to OutFront Minnesota through:
- bequests made in wills or codicils
- life insurance plans
- retirement plans
Planned gifts to OutFront Minnesota can be made to either of our two
separate arms.
- OutFront Minnesota is an IRS-designated 501(c)(4)
nonprofit organization that does political advocacy for GLBT rights
in Minnesota.
- OutFront Minnesota Community Services is an
IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that educates
Minnesotans on GLBT issues and provides direct services to
individuals.
Tax implications are different for 501(c)(3)'s and 501(c)(4)'s, so
you should discuss your goals with your attorney to decide which entity
of OutFront best suits your estate plan.
Sample language for including OutFront Minnesota in your will:
Below is sample language to use when including OutFront Minnesota
Community Services (our tax-deductible education arm) in your will:
"I hereby give and bequeath [amount in dollars or percentage
amount] to OutFront Minnesota Community Services, a nonprofit Minnesota
corporation exempt from federal taxation under section 501(c)(3),
currently located at 310 38th St E #204, Minneapolis, MN 55409, federal
tax identification number 36-3550489, for its general purposes."
Below is sample language to use when including OutFront Minnesota in
your will:
"I hereby give and bequeath [amount in dollars or percentage
amount] to OutFront Minnesota, having federal tax identification number
41-1892897, currently located at 310 38th St E #204, Minneapolis, MN
55409, for its general purposes."
