Our Heroes in the Legislature
Late in the night on Saturday, May 21, 2011, the Minnesota House of Representatives voted after five and a half hours of passionate, heart-wrenching debate to place the equality of LGBT Minnesotans on the ballot in 2012. This 70-62 vote, will ask Minnesotans to approve a constitutional amendment that would ban loving, committed same-sex couples from being able to marry in our state.
