Amy Johnson
Executive Director
Amy Johnson has been active in political and civic work for the past twenty years, with an emphasis on GLBT advocacy and community leadership. She served as President of the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association, Treasurer of the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association, and President of the Board of PFund Foundation, a philanthropic organization for the GLBT community, and serves as Steward of the Steven J. Schochet Endowment for GLBT Studies & Campus Life at the University of Minnesota. Amy also served as a Commissioner on the Minneapolis Civil Rights Commission, which promotes and enforces the city's human rights policies.
Amy was an attorney in private practice for over 20 years. She helped GLBT families, businesses and individuals plan for the future within the construct of the laws. She is a noted national and statewide lecturer on the topics of practical, legal and tax issues facing alternative families and unmarried couples. Amy has always been active in her community, having served on the Board of Trustees of her Synagogue, as President of the Minnesota NARAL, President of the Kenwood Isles Neighborhood Association, as well as held many volunteer positions within her profession.
As Executive Director of OutFront Minnesota, Amy leads all aspects of the organization including vision and mission; programs; fundraising; personnel and operations.
