Today's People of Faith Rally at the Capitol
Was an Overwhelming Success

Today was such a powerful day! Over 1,800 people attended a rally at the State Capitol hosted by OutFront Minnesota and the Faith, Family, Fairness Alliance to show Minnesota that fairness and human dignity are tenets of many faith traditions.

Together, we showed legislators that the people pushing for a constitutional amendment that would ban legal recognition for same-sex couples may use religion as a weapon, but they do not speak for the entire faith community.

The rally was just one component of OutFront Minnesota's plan to defeat the anti-marriage amendment. This is the third year in a row that the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people have been used by amendment proponents to bring division to Minnesota and draw attention away from real issues that Minnesotans care about, like health care, education, and jobs.

OutFront Minnesota is determined to make this the third year in a row in which this amendment is soundly defeated.
